Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Dashed mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Dashed is a personal recipe organization tool for cocktail enthusiasts. The App allows you to save and organize cocktail recipes, import recipe data from web URLs you provide, create personal collections, and browse cocktails within your personal library.
Dashed functions as a personal digital notebook — similar to tools like Evernote, Pocket, or Apple Notes — where you can store and organize recipe information for your own reference.
You must be at least 21 years of age to use Dashed due to the alcoholic nature of the content. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
You are solely responsible for content you submit to or import into the App. By importing a recipe from a URL, you represent that:
By submitting content to the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display the content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you. We will not sell, publicly distribute, or commercially exploit your content.
Private by Default: All recipes you import or create in Dashed are private to your account. Your personal recipe library is not shared with other users, published publicly, or made available in any searchable directory.
When you provide a URL, Dashed extracts structured recipe data — ingredient names, quantities, measurements, glass type, garnish, and preparation steps. This factual data is processed and stored locally on your device for your personal reference.
Dashed does not copy or store blog posts, personal narratives, headnotes, or other creative literary content from source websites.
Attribution: Dashed preserves and displays attribution for imported recipes, including the original source URL, the recipe creator's name, and the bar, venue, or publication of origin when available. We encourage you to visit the original source to support recipe creators.
The App, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Dashed and protected by intellectual property laws.
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. Recipe ingredient lists and standard preparation instructions are factual information not subject to copyright protection under U.S. law. However, creative expression accompanying recipes (such as personal narratives, photographs, and distinctive literary descriptions) may be protected by copyright.

Dashed offers a free tier with limited functionality (5 recipe imports per month). Premium features are available through an auto-renewing subscription purchased via Apple's In-App Purchase system.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of any recipe content. Recipes are provided for informational purposes only. You are responsible for verifying ingredients and measurements. Always drink responsibly.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DASHED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dashed from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising out of your use of the App, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Before filing any formal proceeding, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@dashedapp.com. We will try to resolve the dispute within 30 days.
YOU AND DASHED AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
