Dashed respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. § 512), we will respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content available through the Dashed application infringes your copyright, please submit a written notification containing:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the material that you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., recipe title, source URL)
- Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature

How We Respond
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
- Notify the user who imported or created the content
- Provide the user with information about submitting a counter-notification
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located
- Your physical or electronic signature
Restoration of Content
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complaining party. If the original party does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed content.
Repeat Infringers
We will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
Misrepresentation Warning
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
